⚠ Solar Performance in Real Conditions

Eufy's ~2 hours/day self-sustain claim assumes direct sunlight. User reports on Reddit and Amazon indicate meaningful performance degradation in winter months, heavy cloud cover, or partially shaded mounting positions. If your install location gets less than 3–4 hours of direct sun daily, budget for supplemental charging or consider a wired alternative.

⚠ Firmware Updates & Connectivity

Community forums have documented cases where Eufy firmware updates caused temporary recording gaps, connectivity drops between cameras and HomeBase, or app-login issues. Most are resolved within subsequent patches, but owners should monitor Eufy's update changelog before applying. This is not unique to Eufy — it is a known risk category for any locally-managed camera system.
